At Michigan State, I have taught three undergraduate-level courses as instructor of record: two summer asynchronous courses, one about environmental advocacy campaigning and another about Public Relations for Journalists, and two in-person environmental and science reporting sessions. The average score of the student’s learning perception survey is 4.17 (Fall 2023) and 4.25 (Spring 2024) on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is the lowest score. At the graduate level, I have experience as a teaching assistant for a Social Media Storytelling course and as a guest lecturer about social media planning and international news, all at the MA level.

POPULAR EDUCATION
As an activist and a practitioner, I have had wonderful experiences with popular education during my career in Brazil. I co-created and led several trainings in communication planning, community radio broadcasting, zine, and other popular communication practices for small farmers and traditional communities in the Amazon.
In the mid-2000s, I co-created two environmental leadership training programs in Mato Grosso, one dedicated to fostering young leaders from rural communities.
